Hermiston Nazarene Church

YOU ARE INVITED TO

Easter

You are invited to Easter at HermNaz Church!

Here are 3 days of opportunity to learn more about the love that Jesus has for you:

PALM SUNDAY

March 24
10:30am

A celebration of Jesus walking among the people as He journeys to the cross.

GOOD FRIDAY TENEBRAE

March 29
7:00-8:00pm

Tenebrae is a Latin word meaning darkness.  We reflect on the sacrifice Jesus gave on the cross for our forgiveness.

It was a very somber and dark atmosphere as we heard an insightful reading covering Genesis through the life of Jesus. We heard correlations between the Old and New Testaments in the Bible, and were brought face-to-face with the reality of Jesus's death.

From when he died on Friday to when he rose again on Sunday morning, Jesus was fighting on our behalf in the depths of darkness. Now we can celebrate the relationship we can have with God the Father...forever!

EASTER SUNDAY CELEBRATION

March31
10:30am

A celebration of the risen King which makes it possible for our lives to be made new.

What a special Sunday it was!
Worship in song, 3 baptisms (people showing they have a love for Jesus), a challenging message about making Jesus King of our lives, communion (remembering His sacrifice), and seeing friends.

Invite a friend to come with you!

Kids, we are meeting on Easter Sunday! We are looking forward to a super fun and festive time. We’ll have a fun little egg scavenger hunt in the Kids wing, filled with items that will help us learn about the Easter story. And we’ll read and discuss the Bible story about Jesus. Bring a friend because we are looking forward to seeing you as we celebrate that Jesus is risen!
