Hermiston Nazarene Church

Sabbatical 2022 is:

Coffee Break

Pause

Restore

Engage

Be praying for Pastor Eric as he gets away to
pause, restore, and engage
with the Lord and his family.

Church of the Nazarene Manual 129.10
In order to encourage a healthy pastoral ministry and strong spiritual life of the pastor, the church board, in consultation with the district superintendent, should provide a sabbatical leave for the pastor during each seventh consecutive year of service in one congregation. The timing and duration of the sabbatical shall be determined in consultation with the pastor, church board and district superintendent. It is strongly urged that the pastor’s salary continue in full and the church board provide for pulpit supply during the sabbatical period.

August 24th - thoughts from PE:

Early morning Coffee Break with coffee from Honduras in the mug, the sun rising, and not a sound other than running water in the background and The Lord voice saying…
Do you need new direction today in your life?
Do you need someone to be there for you?
Do you need focus in your life?

Great early morning prayer today.
“Teach me your way, Lord, (new direction)
that I may rely on your faithfulness; (He is the ‘someone’)
give me an undivided heart, (focus)
that I may fear your name. (our action)
I will praise you, Lord my God” (the outcome)
Ps. 86:11-12

Enjoy your caffeinated day!
